BAD Festival Livestream: A Place for Every Crime Story and a Crime Story for Every Place

Join this year’s BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival at Penrith City Library as the Library livestreams some of the festival highlights. Watch four leading crime writers discuss how crime and place matter to them.

Our opening address by four leading crime writers is inspired by Australia’s new national cultural policy that calls for A Place for Every Story and a Story for Every Place.

Chris Hammer’s crime novels are set in different fascinating locations in Australia; Ashley Kalagian Blunt explores the virtual space of the internet and how it affects the material world, Julie Janson’s crime novel brings a First Nations perspective to crimes which may go unnoticed, and Michael Mohammed Ahmad explores the intersections between place, race and crime.

Together they will discuss how crime and place matter to them.

The livestream is free; bookings are not required.
