Celebrate the vibrant spirit of our senior community at the Penrith Seniors Festival, proudly embracing this year’s NSW Seniors Festival theme: “Live Life in Colour!”

Delivered in partnership by Penrith City Council, Penrith City Library, Ripples Leisure Centre, the Penrith Community Care Forum and other local stakeholders, the festival honours older adults and their valuable contributions to our community.

Enjoy a diverse program of free events and activities that promote healthy ageing, foster social connection and celebrate the important role seniors play in Penrith.

Penrith Seniors Comedy Gala
Mon 2 Mar - 9.00am morning tea and 10.30am event
The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre – Richard Bonynge Concert Hall
Join us for our premier Seniors Festival event, the Penrith Seniors Comedy Gala! A morning tea will be held from 9.00am with the comedy gala kicking off at 10.30am. The line-up includes comedians: Chris Radburn (emcee), Cam Knight, Fiona Cox and Bruce Griffiths. Tickets are free!

Accessibility Information

• Accessible bathrooms are located on the ground floor in the Malcolm Borland Foyer.
• Accessible parking is available in nearby Council and Westfield car parks, with accessible pathways to venue.
• For wheelchair and accessible seating, please contact The Joan Box Office by Friday 20 February on 4723 7600, Monday – Friday between 9am and 4:30pm – the team will be happy to allocate you to an accessible seat.
• When you make contact with The Joan, please indicate the seat row you prefer:
- Row G- no steps
- Row F and H both have one small step

Live Life in Colour – Fun Day

Enjoy a creative day of painting mason jars and canvases. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Young at Heart Fitness Program
1:30pm–2:15pm, Mon 2 Mar to Fri 6 Mar
Where: Ripples Leisure Centre, Creek Road, St Marys
Cost: Free
A fun, low-intensity workout designed especially for seniors. Gentle land and water-based exercises help build strength and mobility. The session finishes with tea or coffee and a chance to socialise with others.

High Street History Walk

Movie Morning: Tracks

A special screening of Tracks (rated M), starring Mia Wasikowska and based on the bestselling memoir by Robyn Davidson. This inspiring film follows Robyn’s extraordinary 2,700km solo journey across the Australian desert, accompanied only by her dog Diggity, 4 camels, and at intervals, Rick Smolan, a charismatic National Geographic photographer. Plan and Prepare for Emergencies Workshop

Thinking about and creating a plan for yourself and your household (including pets) can help reduce stress when the unexpected happens. Join us to assess your preparedness and explore Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP). Starting the P-CEP conversation will help you develop a tailored plan for your needs and those of your household.
