Playspaces

Playspaces

With more than 150 playspaces across the Local Government Area, Penrith City Council has an ongoing program to upgrade these spaces to ensure they are modern and inclusive for current and future residents.

Council is upgrading 40 playspaces between 2019-2024 with new equipment, surface upgrades, seating, tree planting, shade, landscaping and pathways. These playspaces were identified through Council’s Sport and Recreation Strategy.

In 2022, Council completed its three-year program to install shade sails and plant trees at 98 playspaces throughout the city.
