Health & Safety

Council doesn’t run traditional health services like hospitals, but we play a role in the health, safety and wellbeing of people in Penrith. We enforce various regulations relating to safety of food, road use, buildings, backyard pools, recreational water quality and much more. We work with local businesses, police and others to address issues such as anti-social behaviour. We help people make healthy lifestyle choices, provide facilities that encourage healthy lifestyles and advocate for the health needs of our community.
