Habitat Restoration: Rickabys Creek Reserve (July) - POSTPONED

Get your hands dirty with a fun day out weeding.

As of 28 June 2021: Due to the changes in COVID-19 restrictions, Penrith Council’s Bushcare Program has been postponed. We apologise for the inconvenience. Rescheduled dates for the events will be announced once the stay at home order has been lifted. Please keep an eye on Council’s Facebook for updates.

Join our Bushcare team and Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) on at Rickabys Creek Reserve in Londonderry for a great day of weeding.

Learn about the abundance of rare plants and animals which call Rickabys Creek Reserve home. You’ll be removing invasive weeds such as African Love Grass, Mother of Millions, Moth Vine and Asparagus Fern.

We'll also be joined by a special guest Peter Ridgeway, Senior Land Services Officer (Biodiversity) from Greater Sydney Local Land Services, who will be talking to us about what species of flora and fauna call the reserve home. We'll be seeing if we can spot any of these species while we're at the reserve. All equipment will be provided.

The event will be catered and include light refreshments.

Bookings are essential. Search for “Rickabys Creek Reserve” and register at CVA’s events
