Habitat Restoration – Breakfast with the Birds: Mountain View Reserve -- BOOKED OUT

Join us and special guest Mark Fuller from Avianation for a great breakfast with the birds.

The Habitat Restoration: Breakfast with the Birds event has booked out. For similar events, check out What's On.

We’re joining Conservation Volunteers Australia and special guest Mark Fuller from Avianation for a great morning breakfasting with the birds!

Mountain View Reserve is a bird haven, and Mark will be guiding us through a bird survey and sharing interesting bird facts about the species that call the reserve home.

We’ll also be conducting habitat restoration activities to protect endangered species by removing the invasive Bridal Creeper, African Lovegrass, African Olive and Brazilian Nightshade.

It’s advised participants wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed sturdy shoes. We'd also recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen and a bottle of water.

The event is open to everyone with and without Bushcare weeding experience. Under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Bookings are essential. Register your place at Eventbrite.

About Mountain View Reserve
Mountain View Reserve is a 22-hectare reserve in the Penrith suburb of Cranebrook, with rare Cumberland Plain Woodland vegetation and dense understorey ideal for small native birds foraging and breeding, including the Double-barred Finch.

The reserve protects the region’s healthiest population of the endangered (and very beautiful) Spiked-rice Flower (Pimelea spicata), whilst providing critical habitat to an abundance of other threatened species.

About the Habitat Restoration program
The Habitat Restoration event program is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust. Penrith City Council is proud to partner with Conservation Volunteers Australia.
