Playspace upgrades

With more than 150 playspaces across the Local Government Area, Penrith City Council has an ongoing program to upgrade these spaces to ensure they are modern and inclusive for current and future residents.

Council is upgrading 40 playspaces between 2019-2024 with new equipment, surface upgrades, seating, tree planting, shade, landscaping and pathways. These playspaces were identified through Council’s Sport & Recreation Strategy, which you can find out more about here.

Council is also installing new shade and trees at 90 playspaces throughout the city over a three-year period, which will be completed in 2022.
