Stones & Stories: Emu Plains Cemetery
Discover the history beneath the grounds of Emu Plains General Cemetery with the Research Services Team from Penrith City Libraries.
This cemetery has long served as a resting place for the people of Emu Plains and surrounding areas, with its earliest burial dating back to 1859.
Nestled on the historic site of Governor Macquarie’s Agricultural Establishment and convict barracks, this cemetery offers a unique glimpse into Australia’s colonial past.
Join us to uncover the lives and legacies of those who shaped our community. Every headstone tells a story—come and listen.
