Meet the Residents 

We’ve got some new (well, old) residents moving in at River Road! With wildlife being spotted all around Penrith, including the wombat at Nepean River, we want to host a “housewarming” where you can learn about wombats and participate in a nature safari and a walk and weeding activity. We'll have some fun crafts for the kids to enjoy!

Meet the Residents is a great opportunity for residents of Emu Plains and Leonay* — and anyone interested in volunteering their time every month — to join the River Road Bushcare Group’s efforts in conserving the Nepean River for the wombat and the animals that call the river home.

All residents who attend the housewarming party will be invited to take home a native plant grown by Council’s nursery as part of our event’s plant giveaway. (One plant per household.)

*The event and Bushcare Group is open to anyone who lives outside of the suburbs listed.
