Free Microchipping Day

Bring your cat and dog to Ridge Park Hall between 9am and 12pm on Saturday 14 March to be microchipped for FREE.

Free microchipping is available for cats and dogs on Saturday 14 March between 9am and 12pm at Ridge Park Hall. Council’s Animal Services are microchipping pets for free.

Council's friendly Animal Services team is microchipping cats and dogs for free.

We have staff from Greencross Vets at Coreen Avenue, RSPCA NSW, Cat Protection Society, and Animal Welfare League present on the day to give your pet a free health check and talk to you about any of your pet care questions.

Why microchip?
Microchipping your pet helps keep them safe. It’s a vital part of their care that you chip them so that if they ever wander away, vets, animal shelters and Animal Services can scan their chip and reunite them with their family.

The procedure is simple and quick, and involves a small chip the size of a rice grain being implanted between the shoulder blades.

In NSW, all cats and dogs must be microchipped by 12 weeks old and be lifetime registered by 6 months of age.

For more information about microchipping and lifetime registration, visit our Microchipping and Registration page.
