Cooling the Community: Crossman Reserve

Are you ready to get your hands dirty? Join us for a day of tree planting at Crossman Reserve. Refreshments and all equipment will be provided, but please make sure to bring your own sun protection and sensible closed-in shoes.

More than 2,000 trees will be planted in the Penrith area and will provide critical, biodiverse habitat for our wildlife. As they grow, these trees will help us adapt to a changing climate and the urban heat island effect we feel so strongly in the west.

The planting forms part of the Premier’s Priority Greening Our City initiative to plant one million trees by 2022 and is part of Greening Australia’s Nature in Cities stream.
