Cooling St Clair

Join us for a great day of tree planting at Corio Drive Reserve in St Clair!

We’re planting 580 native plants grown by Council’s Nursery with your help!

It's going to be a great morning in St Clair where you’ll be able to get your hands dirty planting trees to help the reserve adapt to a changing climate and reduce the urban heat island effect which is responsible for increasing hot temperatures in the suburb. By planting trees, we’re increasing the amount of shade available in the area, which results in a cooler neighbourhood!

We'll also have a kids’ nature-themed activity table for young kids to enjoy.

Once we’re done planting, we’ll be enjoying a tasty BBQ lunch.

Refreshments, plants and materials will be provided. If you’ve never planted a tree with us before, come along and learn the simple steps!

Accessibility routes

Corio Drive reserve is relatively flat with a path from the road into the reserve. It is accessible via a wheelchair.
