Chinese Calligraphy for Kids

Chinese Calligrapher Xueyi Bai will introduce participants to the basic skills of Chinese Calligraphy in this hands-on workshop for children.

Children will learn how to hold and move the brush to paint the special lines and dots to create Chinese pictographic and standard characters.

There’ll be lots of time to practice and by the end of the session, everyone will have produced a meaningful calligraphy character painted on rice paper ready to take home to display.

The workshop is best suited for children aged 7-12 years old (school grades 1-6). Tickets cost $7 per child, with bookings are essential for every child attending. An adult is welcome to attend for free to assist their child. Bookings not required for accompanying adults. Book now.
