Join Jessica North as she talks about her book “Esther”, a rags to riches love story of a convict girl who arrived in Australia on the first fleet.

Lovers of historical tales will enjoy Jessica North’s book, “Esther.” The little-known rags to riches love story of a convict girl who arrived in Australia on the First Fleet. Much like another, better-known colonial woman, Elizabeth Macarthur, Esther successfully managed her husband's property and became a significant figure in the new colony. “Esther” has been shortlisted for the Society of Women Writers NSW Book Awards.

Join Penrith City Library in discovering the influences and history behind Jessica’s book. The Author Talk will be held at the Peter Goodfellow Theatrette with morning tea being provided. Dymocks will be selling signed copies of the book on the day.
