Residents asked to help shape Penrith

Residents asked to help shape Penrith

Monday, 15 March 2021

Penrith City Council is developing its Community Strategic Plan (CSP) and is inviting the community to help shape this important strategic document by completing a short online survey.

The survey, hosted on Council’s Facebook page and Your Say Penrith website, covers five key topics which the community highlighted as important areas to focus on in earlier consultations. The topics include managing growth, assets, leadership, community and the environment.

Hundreds of residents have already contributed towards the development of the CSP through pop up information booths, surveys and online workshops held last year. This final round of consultation aims to reach a large number of residents and particularly encourage young people to participate.

Penrith Mayor Karen McKeown OAM said the answers gathered over the next five weeks through the survey will help confirm the community’s social, economic and environmental priorities and assist in shaping the CSP.

“We know our residents have strong ideas about how we can create a positive, productive, sustainable and liveable City. I would like to encourage residents to share these with us over the next five weeks so that in partnership we can help shape a bright future for Penrith,” Cr McKeown said.

This round of community engagement for the CSP will run from 8 March to 12 April 2021. Complete the survey to go in the draw to win $50 voucher to spend in Penrith. Terms and conditions (T&Cs) apply.
