Work on the essential High Street Upgrade is continuing and is on track for early completion, with a new section of work commencing in late July.

Crews will start night work on the intersection of Station and High Streets on Monday 30 July. Traffic control will be in place at this intersection from 9pm to 5am, Monday to Friday. Work at the intersection will only happen at night, and traffic will be unaffected during the day.

The work happening in High Street is essential to install a stormwater drainage system that will help protect businesses from flash flooding for years to come.

Council has accelerated the works on High Street, which are now expected to be finished in late November 2018.

Council is working with the Contractor to minimise the impact whenever we can.

All works are subject to weather of course, and Council will continue to keep businesses and the community informed as works progress.

You can stay up to date with the works program through Council's website yoursaypenrith.com.au/HighStreet.
