Parents Rooms

Parents rooms offer a safe, private place for men and women to feed, change and care for their young children while they are out and about. They should provide:

  • easy pram access
  • a place to feed in privacy
  • comfortable seating
  • clean environment
  • nappy changing area
  • sink with hand drying facilities, and
  • waste containers.

Some also have a confined play area and a special, smaller toilet for toddlers.

Civic Centre

Located in the Penrith Library foyer, and offers a change table, comfortable chairs and toilets nearby.

St Marys Library

Located in the library, and has a change table and sink.

Westfield Penrith Plaza

  • ground floor near the food court toilets
  • first floor near the food court, near the toilets and play equipment
  • Myer store, located on the second floor near the furniture section and restaurant.

Nepean Village

  • Located adjacent to the eating area and the amenities block

Toys R Us

A ‘breastfeeding welcome here’ sticker has been produced to help breastfeeding mothers find comfortable and welcoming places to breastfeed while out in public. Venues displaying this sticker should have a welcoming attitude from staff and management and be easily accessible with a pram.
