“Feel new in Penrith” campaign set to boost local economy

Council has partnered with Destination NSW (DNSW), to launch a two-part consumer marketing campaign to welcome visitors back to Penrith, raise awareness of our unique visitor experiences, boost the local economy, encourage longer stays and drive day trippers.

View from The Rock Lookout, Mulgoa NSWThe campaign invites visitors to “Feel new in Penrith” through two action-packed, full-day itineraries. With buy-in from local operators, the first part of the campaign ran from mid-June to early July and involved a series of special offers from participating operators.

The second phase of the campaign commenced on Tuesday 30 August and will run in the lead up to and during the spring school holidays.

Council strongly encourages local businesses and tourism operators to take advantage of free listings on VisitPenrith.com.au and with Destination NSW to help reach a growing audience of visitors and locals who are looking for activities in the Penrith region. Eateries, attractions, accommodation, events and more are invited to list their business to help drive customers to their door.

Council works closely with DNSW to promote Penrith, its operators and attractions to national and international audiences, and to better connect our City with opportunities ahead of the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport opening in 2026.
