Regatta Park celebrates our river

Council is talking to the community about what it would like to see in the $24 million upgrade to Regatta Park on the banks of the Nepean River

The upgraded park will deliver on Council’s plans to maximise the potential of the river precinct, boosting our tourism sector and delivering flow on benefits to the broader Penrith business community. The project is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments with $15 million as part of the Western Sydney City’s Liveability Program and $9 million in funding from Council. In 2013 Council developed the Our River Masterplan with the community, which created a blueprint to celebrate, activate and protect the City’s favourite natural asset.

The upgraded park will feature event and festival areas, picnic spaces, river terraces and a playground for children with improved access to the Nepean River.

Consultation on the upgrades is open until 21 February. Take a look and have your say here.
