Citizenship Ceremony – Saturday 26 June 2021

We look forward to seeing you at your Citizenship Ceremony on Saturday 26 June 2021.

With the current COVID-19 restrictions implemented this week, please note there are some changes to your event:

1: Masks are mandatory
All adults must wear a mask inside the venue of your Citizenship Ceremony. Please bring yours with you.

You may be asked to remove your mask momentarily when presenting your photographic ID.
Children 12 years and under are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable.

2: Guest Numbers
For the consideration of the health of those becoming citizens, as well as council staff working at this event, unfortunately guests are not permitted within the venue.

The ceremony will run for approximately 30 – 40 mins and we encourage you to celebrate before or after your ceremony with your guests.

3: Exposure Sites
Please contact us by emailing before your Ceremony if you have visited any of the current COVID-19 exposure sites, the full list can be found here:

We appreciate your understanding as we aim to ensure the safety of all those becoming Citizens in our city. Please do not attend this ceremony if you are unwell. If you cannot attend, you will receive notification of non-attendance and a new ceremony invitation will be sent to you.
