Sneak peek at Great River Walk extension

A series of artist impressions of the proposed extension of the Great River Walk have been released by the project’s proponent.

2D drawing of cyclists on a path surrounded by greeneryPrecinct Capital, the company behind the $600 million Nepean Business Park project, intends to construct an extension of the popular walking track which runs along the edge of the Nepean River. In addition, 22,000sq.m of open space will be dedicated to the Penrith community.

The images show a landscaped pedestrian and cycle path and views to the river from the business park’s planned ‘hub’ for food and other services.

The site for Nepean Business Park adjoins the Nepean River and is in close proximity to Sydney International Regatta Centre, as well as other industrial developments such as Waterside Business Park.

This latest announcement on Nepean Business Park follows the amendment to the Penrith Lakes SEPP in July 2020. The amendments extend the employment zone boundary to incorporate the area of the proposed business park. Further approvals are still required for latter stages of the project.
