Youngcare and other new residential projects get the green light

Several new residential projects have been approved as Council delivers determinations on over 120 proposals in just six weeks.

artist impression of apartment buildingAmong the approved developments is the construction of two residential care facilities in Jordan Springs submitted by Youngcare; a not-for-profit organisation that provide accommodation options to young people with high care needs. This project will be Youngcare’s first housing project to be delivered in Sydney and is expected to be completed in late 2020.

Morson Architect’s proposal for a five-storey residential flat building, containing a total of 16 apartments, has been approved. The $4 million development will be built on Rodley Avenue Penrith.

44 Affordable and Social Housing Units will be constructed in St Marys after a proposal from Growthbuilt was approved. The $15 million, five-storey project will be built within walking distance of St Marys train station.
