Cooling the City Masterclass goes online

Presentations from Penrith’s highly successful Cooling the City Masterclass are now available to view online.

A series of presentations from Australian and International experts inspired and challenged the audience, leading to #coolingthecity trending nationally on Twitter.

To continue the conversation and inspire more businesses and professionals to find ways to solve Sydney’s urban heat dilemma, Council has made the presentations freely available on Penrith Council’s YouTube channel.

Presentations include keynote addresses from Dr Diane Pataki, University of Utah, and Dr Josh Byrne, Josh Byrne and Associates, as well as several case studies, discussions on leadership, and recent research and innovation.

Hear from leading industry perspectives including Frasers Property Australia, Macquarie Group, Greater Sydney Commission, Resilient Sydney, City of Athens, CSIRO, DPIE, Western Sydney University and University of NSW.

Following the catastrophic and extreme heat of our last summer, there’s never been a more important time to critically consider how we design and build our urban spaces and manage urban heat.
