The health and safety of our community, residents and staff is Penrith Council’s top priority. We are closely following the advice of Government and health authorities on the COVID-19 outbreak.

The New West team will continue to source information that can best help businesses and those who see Penrith as a place to invest.

We have sought to collate some useful resources and initiatives from Council and other organisations for businesses that are affected by current circumstances.

The Australian Government has setup a website for coronavirus information and support for business including government assistance. This will be updated regularly as new measures are announced.

Penrith Council is providing financial relief for cafes and restaurants in the Penrith and St Marys CBD’s who are currently facing economic hardship caused by impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.

SafeWork NSW has provided a guide for those undertaking a business on how to meet their work health and safety obligations in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For exporters, Austrade provides advice for businesses in Australia as well as insights from international markets.

Council will continue to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and where appropriate, make adjustments to its operations and service delivery based on information from Government and health authorities.
