Westfield Penrith has lodged a $10.7M development application with Council for a new indoor/outdoor-dining area for the south-western corner of the centre – increasing opportunity for hospitality businesses in our city centre.

The proposal would create 1,450sqm of retail space over two levels and include an “atrium” to serve as a new entrance opposite the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre.

If recommended for consideration, the proposal will be determined by the Sydney Western City Planning Panel.

Council is also considering a $700,000 redevelopment application from Vicinity Centres to add to the dining precinct at Nepean Village.

The upgrade, slated for the Station Street portion of the site, would encompass current businesses, Percy Plunkett, Gloria Jeans and Nandos as well as two new dining operators.
