Trading on a high

Council recently completed city-shaping upgrades to High Street – Penrith’s main street and heart of our city centre – but work is far from over. Council’s focus is now on promoting and marketing the new look street as a great place to shop, eat and visit.

As part of that push, Council commissioned a series of videos to showcase the improvements and promote High Street as a great place to do business and we want to share these with the community via our social media channels.

The videos introduce viewers to the business mix, show off the new, wider pavements, creative lighting and improved wayfinding and give a glimpse into activation projects like our open-mic nights and popular Alive After Five events.

The potential of High Street’s dining precinct is also on show. Council is committed to fostering a strong dining scene in our City. This includes creating an entertainment and recreation precinct in our city centre.

In line with this commitment, Council is working with Service NSW to deliver the Easy to Do Business Scheme. This concierge service streamlines the process for those looking to open a café or restaurant in Penrith as these kinds of businesses are vital to a vibrant city and to a successful shopping and browsing strip.

You can view and share the videos here.

Celebrate the upgrades and the video launch with Penrith Council at Mr Watkins from 5pm to 6pm on Thursday 29 August.

Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.
