Amazon’s state of the art Penrith facility opens

Amazon’s investment in Penrith has progressed to the next phase, with the official opening of their robotics fulfilment centre in Penrith’s east this month.

Mayor of Penrith, Tricia Hitchen, attended the official opening of the centre which is expected to employ 1,500 people.

Amazon’s warehouse is located in Goodman’s Oakdale West Industrial Estate, which has also attracted other major companies such as Australia Post, Coles, Telstra and Woolworths.

Penrith has a steady future supply of industrial land within close proximity to major transport connections including the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport. These lands include the 850ha Mamre Precinct and the Northern Gateway Precinct within the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.

With limited supply of such land in Sydney, Penrith is proving an attractive option to a host of investors and forward-thinking businesses that are looking to accommodate future growth.
