16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence

About the campaign

Each year, Penrith City Council supports the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign that raises awareness of gender-based violence and encourages action to prevent it. The campaign promotes respect, gender equality and healthy relationships, recognising that everyone has a role to play in creating safe and inclusive communities where people feel valued and respected.

We Can All Be Heroes

As part of Council's participation in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the We Can All Be Heroes message encourages community members to take positive everyday actions that promote respect, equality and safety.

Being a hero means showing courage, respect, and care.
