Chemical Cleanout Days

Chemical Cleanout Days

Council hosts a free chemical cleanout day at Penrith every year. The event is run by the EPA.

Pack your old household cleaners & chemicals, pool chemicals, batteries, gas bottles and oils in the boot of your car. The friendly staff will unload for you and the items collected will be disposed of safely and correctly.

The 2020 Chemical Cleanout event is on the weekend of Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March 2020 at Jamison Park between 9am and 3.30pm.

If you can't make it to the event, some items may be accepted at the Community Recycling Centre  or you can attend one of EPA's other cleanout days which are scheduled within other areas.

For more chemical cleanout events, please visit the chemical cleanout website or call the Environment Line on 131 555.
