Council hosts a free chemical cleanout day at Penrith every year. The event is run by the EPA.
Pack your old household cleaners & chemicals, pool chemicals, batteries, gas bottles and oils in the boot of your car. The friendly staff will unload for you and the items collected will be disposed of safely and correctly.
When's the next event?
Our last chemical cleanout event was on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 March 2018. The next Chemical Cleanout day event will be held at Jamison Park, Penrith on 9 and 10 March 2019, 9am to 3:30pm.
The EPA have more cleanout days scheduled within other areas, which you can also attend.
