Magnetic Places: Foundations of Community Arts and Cultural Development Workshop

This 2-part workshop will introduce you to core principles and the practices of community arts and cultural development and how to work with communities. Best suited for artists and cultural practitioners of all skill levels and experiences.

The workshop includes topics such as:

• principles of community arts and cultural development
• co-design
• trauma-informed practice
• ongoing consent
• confidentiality
• adhering to cultural protocols.

The first workshop is on Thursday 23 April, with the second one on Thursday 14 May.

About the Magnetic Places Artist Development Series

These hands-on sessions will provide foundational skills and knowledge in Community Arts and Cultural Development (CACD) practice, guidance in how to develop a project proposal for the Magnetic Places Grants Program and legal rights and responsibilities when receiving public funding.
