Australian Poetry Slam Penrith Heat

Penrith City Library is partnering with the Australian Poetry Slam and Word Travels to deliver Penrith APS Heat! Join the nationwide search for the people’s poet.

Jump on the mic or listen, cheer and hold-up scorecards as part of the audience in this international celebration of spoken wordsmiths.

This APS Heat audience will send 2 writers to represent Penrith in a performance at the Sydney Final. The top 16 in the country make it to the National Final at Sydney Opera House on Sunday 25 October.

So, what are you waiting for? Keen to perform? Purchase a ticket and arrive at the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the performance start time to sign up.

Poets of all experience levels are invited to enter and must perform in their residing state or territory and nearest heat.
