Come down to Jamison Park on Saturday 23 March 2019 for Council’s free microchipping day.
From 9am to 12pm you can have your pet microchipped, meet the Council Animal Services team and speak to a range of local animal experts.
Microchipping keeps your pet safe – it’s a vital step to ensure they can be identified if they are lost. With a microchip, vets, animal shelters and Council can scan them and reunite you. In NSW all dogs and cats must be microchipped by 12 weeks of age or before being sold or given away - whichever happens first.
If your pet is microchipped, have you checked the chip is up to date? Moving, changing phone numbers or rehoming an animal may mean it’s time for an update. You can easily update online through the NSW Pet Registry.
More information about taking care of your pet is available at the Penrith Pet Education website.
