Council is embarking on the $24 million Regatta Park project which will upgrade the existing park for events and active play, with better access to the beautiful Nepean River. The upgrade will be jointly funded, with $15 million coming from the Australian and NSW Governments and $9 million from Council.

The new development goes far beyond parking; the design includes open green spaces, restaurants, a rooftop venue and even a basketball court. The tower will have commercial space and 600+ new parking spaces, bringing the total to 820 spots, while the low rise section will have space for play, performance, markets and music.

This $12 million project has been an aspiration of the Penrith community since 2006. A 7,500sqm pocket of land on the corner of Henry and Station Streets is set to be transformed into a central urban green space, right in the heart of our City Centre.

Creating a green heart for the community to relax and enjoy will encourage vitality, increased amenity and unlock the potential of our City Centre.
