Free Public Wi-Fi

Residents, shoppers and visitors to 19 hotspot sites across Penrith can enjoy 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi daily, under a Council / Telstra partnership agreement.

Hotspots include:

  • High Street between Triangle Park and Memory Park - Note WiFi services in this area will be interrupted by the Triangle Park upgrade and may be unavailable.
  • Tench Reserve
  • Ripples St Marys
  • Jamison Park
  • Penrith Regional Gallery & The Lewers Bequest
  • Cranebrook Community Centre
  • Regatta Park
  • Station St, Queen St and Chapel St, St Marys

The free Wi-Fi service – known as Connect AirX – is part of the National Wi-Fi initiative. The introduction of free Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the City was a recommendation which Council adopted from our 2012-2024 Digital Economy Strategy report, to help make our centres more digitally connected.
