Why use this indicator?

Council is in a unique position to foster networks within and between individuals and organisations in the community and develop sustainable, participative partnerships.

Council has an opportunity to provide residents with the ability to interact and capacity build on a range of issues. Council is involved with a broad range of stakeholders and interest groups and holds a valuable position within the community from which coordination of target groups and development of strategic alliances is possible.

What is the current situation?

Council is not yet reporting on this Indicator.

What is the desired trend?

An increase in the effectiveness of community networks.

What does this mean for the Sustainability of Penrith City?

Council has an opportunity to draw together stakeholders and interest groups to develop alliances and networks and to promote initiatives which can benefit the social and economic sustainability of Penrith.
