2006/2007 Data

Why use this indicator?

Formal agreements can encourage the acceptance of responsibilities by all stakeholders and develop a positive health and safety culture.

This indicator will identify the level of involvement of the workforce in the formal agreements that determine health and safety arrangements.

What is the current situation?

A global agreement exists with Trade Unions to cover health and safety.

Council maintains the agreement.

There are no plans at this stage to revise the agreement.

What is the desired trend?

An increase in the number of staff involved in the development of formal OH&S agreements and continued support and input by unions.

What does this mean for the Sustainability of Penrith Council?

Involving employees in the development of OH&S policies should assist in the acceptance and implementation of such policies.
