Why use this indicator?

Organisations are expected to continually assess and improve the environmental impacts of their products and services.

This Indicator assesses the actions Council has taken to reduce the negative environmental impacts and enhance the positive impacts of its products and services.

An increase in the number of initiatives to mitigate environmental impacts.

What does this mean for the Sustainability of Penrith Council?

Council has a range of activities which could potentially impact the environment. Council is continually developing policies and updating strategies to prevent any impact on the environment from its activities.
