Celebrate Penrith City 09 - History Exhibition

Celebrate Penrith City Nov 09

The Makings of a City History Exhibition

Celebrating Penrith's 50th anniversary as a City

This exhibition explores our social history and what life was like in the home of a Penrith family in the 1950s and 1960s through four dioramas: From bride to baby; Children's toys and school items; A kitchen; Lounge room.

We also step back in time and explore through photographs, memorabilia, historical costumes and objects, and historical information panels our City's history since the time of its Aboriginal settlers and then from 1789 to the present.
