Recent improvements / developments

  • Nepean Times (1882-1962) : Indexing of the Nepean Times Project is proceeding apace and an index is available from 1882-1962, but it is not comprehensive. With the help of volunteers: and Pat (1930) and Pauline (1894) we are comprehensively indexing the Nepean Times. The Index is available on the Online Library Catalogue under Search Local Index.
  • Local Vertical Files: These files which include hundreds of items such as newspaper clippings, brochures, reminiscences, council business paper reports etc., are filed alphabetically under subjects.
  • Photographic collection: We have undertaken a stocktake of our 30,000 photographs and have begun re-cataloguing this beautiful collection to make it available via a web database in 2006.
  • Rootsweb - AUS-NSW-PENRITH Mailing List: Join the mailing list and have your say on the history of the Penrith region or the research you are undertaking.
