Penrith City Council Presents: Australia's Xtreme Ski Teams go Head-to-Head at Penrith Lakes!
A fantastic line up of FREE entertainment and activities adds up to an action-packed day at the Sydney International Regatta Centre on Australia Day 26 January, 2010.
Aquatic Stunt shows will amaze you – bigger and more spectacular than ever, incorporating for the first time two of the countries most Xtreme water ski teams battling it out for the biggest jumps and biggest flips anyway possible! Our very own kangaroo and koalas will hit the skis too in a comedy based ski stunt show that will have you rolling around with laughter. And our FREE accompanied jet ski rides return – only this time, we have more rides available… if you dare!
Aussie music legend Mark Seymour lead singer of the band Hunters and Collectors, famous for giving AFL fans their unofficial footy anthem, “Holy Grail”, will headline the main stage entertainment, along with break-through artist Cassie Davis belting out her hit single "Like it Loud" and other songs from her album. Loads of great Aussie hits will be blasting from the main stage and will keep you dancing all day and into the night.
Bananas in Pyjamas, Roary the Racing Car, and Drip and Drop – two cheerful characters in an educational stage show, will entertain the children during a day packed with free entertainment.
Fusion FM, Penrith’s very own dance station will be pumping out cool tunes in the Youth Zone, with Guitar Hero and Dance Factory competitions, as well as Advanced Airbrush demos that you can take part in too. It will be a family day, jam-packed full of fun, with amusement rides, educational and interactive displays, games and activities – you can take part in fun runs, fishing, swimming, sail and canoe and much more!
The night goes out with a bang, with one of the largest fireworks display in NSW outside of Sydney CBD by the internationally acclaimed Howard and Sons thanks to the valued support of Integral Energy.
