Program Update

12 November 2007

On 31 October 2007 the Development Application for the Glenmore Park Child and Family Precinct was approved.  The next step in the program is to finalise the documentation for the Construction Certificate.  This documentation should be completed and ready for submission in early 2008.

January/February 2008

The design drawings and Construction Certificate documentation were finalised.  Issues regarding stormwater drainage, disability access, security were resolved.  The Construction Certificate should be lodged in the third week of March 2008 and take approximately four weeks for determination.

February 2008

Council adopted a "shortlist" of suitable contractors that will be invited to tender for the construction of the Precinct.

March 2008

Council lodged an application for a Construction Certificate and forwarded the final plans to an independent Quantity Surveyor to be costed.

June 2008

The timeline, cost and budget for the Glenmore Park Child and Family Precinct has been revised.  Further details are available on the report link.

April 2009

A contract for the construction of the Glenmore Park Child and Family Precinct, including the new sub-station and solar panels, was awarded to Denham Constructions Pty Ltd.  Work has commenced on the project with an expected completion date, subject to weather conditions, in early 2010.
