This area offers an important opportunity to provide a good passive recreational area with conservation managament. The presence of three rare plant species combined with the unusual geology of the basin should be regarded as having regional significance. Continued viability of the site is dependant on management of the area to reduce detrimental practices such as car and waste dumping.
