Hi, welcome to Penrith City Library's Top Family History Internet Sites. My name is Lorraine Stacker and I am based in Penrith, New South Wales. I work as Information Librarian for Penrith City Council. These pages have been compiled from an Australian (and Penrith) point of view of the world. They will assist researchers, locally (in the Penrith region), those from New South Wales and Australia, to find information sites relating to family history/genealogy research. These sites include family history societies, government agencies (such as archives, local councils), surname lists, and how to get started. Some sites provide ‘real’ information, such as the Irish Transportation records, whilst others provide contact details of other researchers or government departments. I hope you find these pages useful in your research. Please let me know of any suggestions you might have.
